Hermes is an Olympian god in Greek religion and mythology, the son of Zeus and the Pleiad Maia, and the second youngest of the Olympian gods. Considered a god of transitions and boundaries, he is described as quick and cunning, moving freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine.

This academic drawing was created during my studies at the Academy of Realist Art. As part of classical atelier training, drawing from the cast develops the ability to translate a three dimensional form onto a two dimension plane in preparation for drawing and painting from the live model.
